A CDRL is a Contract Data Requirement List – basically a list of supporting document that the government requires when purchasing something.  When that something is is software, the documents grow long and complex very quickly.

After about 3 years of working with mostly the same documents, My company now has a new contract with revised kinds of documents.  About 7 new ones, to be exact.

But the really interesting part is that one of them is not just a report, but requires an entirely new and detailed process to be put in place for the testing of our software.

Basically, I just found about 2 years of new work to do. Possibly.  I’ll find out more tomorrow morning.
